SAN DIEGO (Sep. 11, 2013) – A member of the Coronado Sea Cadets separates each strip of the ensign for ceremonious retirement during an ensign retirement ceremony on the pier of the USS Midway Museum. The ensign retirement ceremony, part of CPO 365, was the culmination of a Sept. 11 remembrance event attended by the Chaparral High School Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps, Boy Scouts of America Troop 45, Girl Scouts of the United States of America Troop 6115, San Diego Fire-Rescue, San Diego Police Department, USS Midway Staff, and U.S. Navy chiefs and chief selectees.
